Terms of Business — HelpWithMyCv

By proceeding with any service, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. About This Service

These terms apply to all CV writing, cover letter, design, and interview coaching services provided by Jordan Bernice trading as HelpWithMyCv (referred to throughout as "we", "us" or "the service").

By placing an order and making payment, you (the client) confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms in full. Acceptance may also be demonstrated by conduct, including submitting materials to us or making payment.

2. Payment & Booking

Full payment is required upfront before any work is started. Work will not commence until payment has been received and confirmed.

Payment confirms your acceptance of these terms.
Prices are fixed unless a variation has been expressly agreed in writing prior to payment.
We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time. The price confirmed at booking applies to that order.
Payment can be made via bank transfer or any method agreed in writing.

3. Turnaround & Delivery

We aim to deliver all completed work within 48 hours of receiving full payment and all required information.

The 48-hour turnaround begins once payment AND all necessary information have been received.
Delivery is via email or LinkedIn message as agreed.
We will notify you if an unexpected delay occurs on our part.

4. Revisions

Every service includes two free revision rounds.

Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
A revision covers reasonable amendments to existing content — not a full rewrite or change in scope.
Revisions after the 7-day window or beyond two rounds will be chargeable at a rate to be agreed.
Each revision round should include all changes together in one message.

5. Payments, Refunds and Cancellations

As all work is bespoke and created specifically for each client:

All payments are non-refundable once work has commenced.
Once a first draft has been delivered, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
No refund will be issued where a client has changed their mind or found an alternative provider after payment.
No refund will be issued on the basis that documents did not result in a specific employment outcome.
Where a client cancels before any work has commenced and before any brief has been discussed, a full refund will be made.
Where a client cancels after an initial brief but before delivery of the first draft, 50% of payment will be retained.
This policy is consistent with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 continues to apply in respect of services not delivered with reasonable care and skill.

6. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Raising a chargeback without first contacting us constitutes a breach of these terms. We reserve the right to provide full evidence of delivery to the payment provider and pursue recovery through appropriate legal channels.

7. Scope of Work

The brief at the point of booking constitutes the agreed scope. Material changes after work has commenced may be treated as a new order and charged accordingly.

8. Your Responsibilities

You will provide accurate, truthful and complete information about your work history and experience.
You will respond to queries in a timely manner.
Documents produced are for your personal use only and may not be resold or redistributed commercially.

9. No Guarantee of Employment Outcomes

We provide a professional writing service. We make no guarantee that use of our services will result in interviews, job offers, or employment. Hiring decisions are made solely by employers and are entirely outside our control.

10. Communications

All instructions, requests, and agreements must be made in writing via email or LinkedIn message. Where we have asked for information or approval and received no reply within 7 days, the order will be considered complete and closed.

11. Client Conduct

We reserve the right to cancel an order with immediate effect and without refund if a client behaves in an abusive, threatening, or unreasonably hostile manner.

12. Confidentiality

All client information is treated with the utmost discretion and will not be shared with any third party except in anonymised form as described in Section 13, or where required by law.

13. Portfolio & Anonymised Examples

We reserve the right to use completed work as anonymised examples. All identifying information will be removed. If you would prefer your work not to be used this way, please notify us in writing at the point of booking.

14. Intellectual Property

All content produced remains our intellectual property until full payment is received. Upon receipt of full payment, ownership transfers to you for personal use only.

15. Data & Privacy

We handle all personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Information is used solely for delivering requested services. Contact us in writing to request deletion of your data.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The terms in effect at the time of your order will apply to that order.
